This covers parts and labor on any normal operational problems that you might encounter with the game, under normal use, for the first 90 days after you have taken delivery of the game.
3 Years Free Extended Warranty:
This covers: STERN S.A.M. System

- CPU/Sound Board
- I/O Power Driver Board
- Display Power Supply
- Dot Matrix Display
If any of the above fail within the first 3 years a repair or replacement will be honored. This extended warranty is effective at the expiration date of the factory or limited warranty as applicable.
This extended warranty does not cover the following:
- Service call labour/travel time
- Shipping charges (parts requiring ordering)
- Light bulbs,starters,ballasts,fluorescent lamps
- Rubber rings, worn or dirty
- Playfield plastics and playfield toys
- Coils,
- Flipper parts
- Mechanical parts, or mechanisms thereof,
- Keys,Locks,Coin Mechanisms
- Abuse of game and or misuse of game
- Alterations, Changing number of balls, game adjustments, features etc.
- Negligence
- Moving of the game from it's orginal set up location
- Rust
- Liquids
- Repairs from anyone other than personnel of Jay Richardson Pinball Inc.
- Fire,Theft,Acts of Nature
- Improper electrical connections
- Use of power bars not surge protected
- Use of extension cords
Any of the above will void the warranty on your game.

Warranty does not cover the following:

- Keys,Locks,Coin Mechanisms
- Abuse of game and or misuse of game
- Alterations, Changing number of balls, game adjustments, features etc.
- Negligence/Moving of the game from it's orginal set up location
- Rust

Service Warranty:
Solid-State (Electronic) Games: Our repair work, and any new parts we install, are warranted for 30 days from the date of repair or delivery date. We do not warranty anything else in your game, or any used parts that are installed. We only warranty the specific work we have done on your game, including any new parts that we install.
Note:For certain games, we may or may not be able to warranty work depending on actual game condition, or the make/model of the game. With used games, some are more worn out than others, or are less reliable by design, or manufacturer has gone out of business and proper replacement parts are no longer available, etc. Games like these may require further repair and maintenance or special attention just to keep them running, and therefore cannot be warranted.
Any warranty work done on your game must be performed by us. Work done on your game by anyone other than Jay Richardson Pinball Inc. will void our warranty. Any evidence of tampering or other work having been done will void our warranty.
Important Notes: After repairing your pinball machine, We cannot guarantee that it will never break down again- this is impossible to do on any pinball machine. All pinball machines have hundreds of moving parts and delicate electronic components that will naturally require repair and maintenance on a periodic basis. And the older, or more used a pinball machine is, the more often it will require repair work to keep it running. After repairing your game, it may work for an hour, a day, a month, or a year, without breaking down again- it is impossible to say.
While the repair work that we perform may bring your game back to working condition, We cannot guarantee that other problems do not already exist, or that another problem will not come up later today, tomorrow, or in a week, etc., that will render the game inoperable again. We only guarantee the specific work that we perform, and any new parts that we install. Anything else in your game is not covered under our warranty.
Future Repair Work - Warranty / Non-Warranty:
If we repair your game and it breaks down again within the warranty period, we will repair your game again at no charge if the cause of the problem is due to a failure of our workmanship, or failure of any new part(s) that we installed. Other problems, or “new problems”, are not covered under our warranty. We may need to examine your game in person before we can determine the exact cause of the problem, and to determine if it is a problem that is covered under warranty or not. If not, a charge will apply to repair the problem and for any travel time to and from your location, if game is repaired on-site.
If your game breaks down again due to something else in the game that we did not initially repair (ie: the game has developed a "new problem"), or if the warranty period has expired on something we already repaired, then a new charge will apply to repair the game.
Transporting a Pinball Machine: (In-Shop Repair Customers please note)
Transporting a pinball machine from location to location can cause things to get out of adjustment from vibrations, movement, jarring, etc. So if your game is repaired at our shop and is working when you leave our shop with it, there is a chance that something may get out of adjustment or stop working by the time you get to your destination. Such problems are not within our control and are not covered under the repair warranty. A new charge will apply to repair any new problems that arise after the game has left our shop. Customers should take this into consideration whenever a game must be moved.
If something we have repaired has failed, even during transportation, our warranty will cover the repair, but the game must be returned to our shop, at customer's expense, for any warranty work to be performed. Alternately, we may be able to travel to your location to perform the warranty work, but an additional charge will apply for any labour and travel time to and from your location.

NOTE* ALL WARRANTY WORK MUST BE REPORTED WITHING THE EFFECTIVE WARRANTY TIME PERIOD. NO WARRANTY WORK IS RETRO-ACTIVE.
